Testing

Testing is required of all students entering Edison Regional Gifted Center (ERGC). Regional Gifted Centers place an emphasis on thinking, reasoning, problem solving and creativity. Testing for Edison Regional Gifted Center also measures mental control. Mental control is the ability to hold information in the short term memory while performing a mental operation. In order to maintain the fidelity of the test, Chicago Public Schools partners with the Illinois Institute of Technology. ERGC does not have discretionary seating.
